Click here for information and hours of operation. – Saturday, September 16, 2017, 8 - 10 am This season we are bringing several of our environmental education programs out of the Greenbelt and into neighboring Staten Island parks. Join us for "Greenbelt on the Go!" Greenbelt birder, Seth Wollney, will lead a walk around Staten Island’s southern tip. We will be looking for migrating warblers, Philadelphia vireos, indigo buntings and many more in the woods, fields and beaches of Conference House Park. Go here to register for this free event. Meet in the visit center parking lot at the end of Hylan Boulevard in the Tottenville section of Staten Island. This event is made possible thanks to the generous funding from NYC Council Member, Joseph C. Borelli of the 51st District on Staten Island, as part of the Greener NYC Initiative. – Saturday, Sept 16 Hike with us along the multipurpose trail in search of butterflies and emerging fall wildflowers. This leisurely paced walk will last over one hour, and the distance will depend on the size and pace of the group. Suitable for ages eight and up. Free. Registration required.
