Greenbelt Collaborates with Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design

Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design is partnering with the Greenbelt to provide their career-oriented high school students with a place based, work based and experiential education experience – right here in the Greenbelt. Through distance/virtual learning, in-person field trips, and stewardship projects, students will gain real-life job skills and leadership experiences. This is a two-semester, year-long program that will run from October 2021 – June 2022. The capstone presentation will take place in April, when students will present proposed stewardship work in the Greenbelt. A panel of local community members, NAC and NRG employees, and Greenbelt staff will select the winning proposal, which will be implemented by students starting in June.
