– Join the Greenbelt Conservation Corps for this ongoing 2022 trail stewardship project designed to engage individuals with a sense of community, and wish to make the Greenbelt a better place! This monthly GCC stewardship event will cover the basics of trail design, building, invasive species removal and maintenance requirements, while reestablishing a section of the N and E Trail in the LaTourette section of the Greenbelt. Project site is accessible from the Greenbelt Nature Center on moderate and uneven terrain. Participants will be asked to carry tools and materials to and from the worksite. Required Gear: Long pants and boots/sturdy shoes. Please bring water, a snack, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Tools and PPE will be provided. N/A Join us as we continue our recycled craft series to repurpose old materials that are destined for the trash. Join us for this Facebook Live v virtual program as we make a bouquet of beautiful flowers from an old book in this program meant to really give these materials new life! Use your own book or come pick one up from us! This easy craft is best for kids ages 6+ and the young at heart! – Grab your family and come for a hike with us. We will be searching for some signs of Spring! Wear shoes with traction and meet us at the Greenbelt Nature Center, 700 Rockland Ave.
