It’s a fun, and informative way to socialize with your dog, while getting the exercise both you and your dog need to stay healthy. Please dress for the weather and terrain. Hike will be approximately 2 miles in length. All dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. For questions, please call 718-351-3450. This hike begins at Acme Pond: Meet at the intersection of Holton Ave and Hylan Blvd - this is in the Princes Bay community of Staten Island. Wednesday, May 29: Enjoy the sights and sounds of spring as we explore trails and natural areas in Staten Island. Designed for adults ages 18+ who want to spend time in nature, get exercise, and more! Registration required. Call 718-351-3450 or email naturecenter@sigreenbelt.org. The weekly evening group hike covers approximately five miles at a quick pace. All are welcome including children with hiking experience who can cover the distance. Please dress for the weather and terrain, and bring water to sustain you. This hike meets in all seasons. Beginning in October, headlamps or a flashlight is required. Please join us! – Thursdays March 7- May 30 : Through hands-on activities, crafts, and stories, 2 year-olds and their caregivers will become familiar with the sights and sounds of the forest. Live music by The Cause and the Effects, craft beer, wine, light buffet dinner, the friendliest crowd around and a few surprises are in store. – Save the date and time: Saturday, June 1 from 11am - 3pm to participate in loads of outdoor fun in lovely Willowbrook Park. Join the Greenbelt Conservancy, NYC City Parks, and partnering organizations, in celebrating the Third Annual Outdoor Adventure Day. This free, family-friendly outdoor recreation celebration will offer loads of fun for families. A variety of guided outdoor activities will include canoeing, guided hikes, fishing, Yoga, outdoor service projects, and much more!
