Sunday, May 20: Learn what it takes to be an Amateur Entomologist by exploring the world of insects! The Bug Club is an educational mini-series that explores the anatomy, life-cycles and the natural history of BUGS through engaging activities, bug excursions in the Greenbelt, and live insect demos. Ages 5+. Donations welcome. Discover the complex world of pond life, as we search for the freshwater invertebrates that call the waters of the Greenbelt home. Meet at the entrance gate to High Rock Park. Sun May 20 : Enjoy the first signs of spring along the Blue Trail and explore the Department of Environmental Conservation’s St. Francis Woodlands. Meet in the High Rock Park parking lot in front of our entrance gate. Dress for the weather and terrain, and bring water if you think you'll need it. We will cover approximately three miles. This is an annual event sponsored by Cassale Jewelers, and the Greenbelt Conservancy and NYC Parks is thrilled to be the charity recipient for this great event.
