Save the date for everyone's favorite winter trail race! On-line registration is now open here. Saturday, February 22: COLD FEAT will once again offer two distance choices! The 5K runners will be on a separate part of the course, and will go out 15 minutes ahead of the 10K runners. Start/finish is by the historic David LaTourette House, which, today operares as the clubhouse for this beautiful golf course. The Cold Feat course begins on the rolling fairways and takes you off into the surrounding Greenbelt trails - rustic and hilly. In trail running, you will encounter uneven terrain, exposed tree roots, and sometimes mud. The course is marked but it's necessary to pay close attention to where you're running. This is a great trail race that attracts a friendly group of runners from Staten Island and the tri-state area. Runners are guaranteed a high quality running shirt or hat, chip timing and refreshments. An awards ceremony with medals for top three male/female winners, and three deep in age categories, will follow. Race sway is guaranteed to all pre-registered runners. We run in all weather conditions and, based on past race experiences, have found it can be done! The Grille Room bar will be open to serve runners over the age of 21. Hot chocolate and coffee will also be for sale. Thank you to our friends at American Golf for hosting us. – Saturday, February 22: Join us and the NYC Parks Natural Resources Team to work on a trail restoration project in Willowbrook Park.
