– Hike through Reeds Basket Willow Swamp on this brisk paced hike. Distance is approximately 3-4 miles. We will meet and begin at the top of Chapin Avenue. Duration will depend on the pace/size of the group. Please be prepared for the weather, distance and terrain. Bring plenty of water and a snack. – Join the Environmental Educators on a fun day of learning how to use binoculars to see things near and far throughout the forest! We’ll make it fun for you as you get better at focusing on interesting features throughout the park. The best part is that we can view beautiful wildlife friends from a safe and respectful distance, but still get the thrill of sharing space with them! There might even be some mysteries of the forest just waiting to be uncovered! Children and their caregiver will use their own senses on an educator led hike through the forest and discover what birds eat, where they live and how they survive in the forest. We will also learn how to use fun tools like binoculars to help us find the amazing animals that call the sky their home.
