Sunday, August 12: We are pleased to host a free choral performance by the Staten Island Philharmonic outside in High Rock Park - under our tall trees! Bench seating is available, or you are welcome to bring a lawn chair. There is a five-minute walk along a paved road to the stage area within the park. There is also limited parking closer to the stage for those who are unable to walk the distance. Our parking assistants will direct you. This event is free. Program is subject to change. On August 12, The Viva Voce singers will be performing popular songs from the ‘60’s including hits from the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel and other favorites. There will be piano and guitar music to accompany the singers and the crowd is encouraged to let loose and sing along. This would be a great place and time to prove to your kids and grandkids how there was some pretty great music in the the "old days!" – Tuesdays July 10-August 14: Join us for leisurely walk through our different parks. Enjoy the picturesque views of each park, as we point out a few of the unique features that make that park special. Hikes start at 10:00, the length of the hike will be determined by the pace of the group. Registration required. Tuesdays, July 17, 24, 31, August 7, 21, 28: Lend a hand and care for the land during the growing season. Activities may include cutting back overgrown and invasive vegetation, watering plants, spreading wood chips, and more. Community service credit available.
