– Join us for a serene hike through the woodlands of Long Pond. Meet at the intersection of Adelphi Ave and Eugene off of Page Ave near Arthur Kill Rd. – – Winter is a wonderful season, so let’s learn more about it. Listen to a story or two about the winter, then make your own creative picture using various textures and techniques. Weather permitting, we will go on a short walk to experience the forest in winter, searching for squirrel drays, animal tracks, birds, and more. Recommended for ages 4-8 with adult chaperone. – Join Caroline Cutroneo from the Richmondtown Branch of the New York Public Library, for winter season reading fun in the Greenbelt. Bring your voices and sing along with some favorite tunes on the guitar, listen to tales and rhymes, and hear some picture book stories! For ages 18 months to 5 years with caregiver. Number of Participants: Up to 24 participants total. Number of tickets: Up to 4 tickets per order – The winter season is a time for sharing. Share your creative ideas, your smiles, and your generous spirit as Richmondtown Library and Greenbelt Educators host a book exchange and upcycled paper craft workshop. Take home something new to read, and, using paper and other second-hand materials, craft something that a special someone is sure to love. – Experience a series of heart-themed experiments, demonstrations, and STEAM activities that families can do together. Recommended for ages 5-10 with their adult chaperone.
