Visit our parks and trail system - open every day!
This monthly series is generously funded by Con Edison, through August 2018.
Wednesday, January 17
Families are invited to gather to explore a range of science topics and activities. A few short, self-guided activities will start families thinking together, followed by a full group activity. Families with children ages 8-10 years old are welcome to register for these events.
The topic for our January session is: Animal Adaptations: Anatomy & Physiology of Survival
Animals have a variety of adaptations for survival. Some adaptations are behavioral, while others are structural. Help conduct a series of investigations to determine what equips animals to survive, including looking at some live animals up close!
Contact the Greenbelt Nature Center at naturecenter@sigreenbelt.org or by phone 718-351-3450 for registration information. This series is free!
