This season we are happy to offer "Greenbelt on the Go," a series of environmental education programs that will make place outside of the Greenbelt. Our educators will be in various Staten Island parks to share their expertise, and inspire all about the wonders of nature. Go here to register.
'Tis the season for the return of sea ducks, gulls and grebes to the lower New York Harbor. We will stand at the end of the fishing pier to observe the wildlife in the bay and earn how to identify these birds. We will likely see a seal or two! Dress for the weather and bring a hot drink. Meet in Lot 8 on Father Capodanno Boulevard (near the intersection with Seaview Ave). Bring field guides and binoculars if you own them. Go here to register.
