Volunteer with us! Forest Restoration Workshop with Protectors of Pine Oak Woods

10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Saturday, January  20 @ 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Join our friends and colleagues from the Protectors of Pine Oak Woods for important forest restoration. Meet at the entrance to the White Trail (on Meisner Road opposite the Bluebelt dam close to the intersection of Manor and Rockland).  We will follow the White Trail west to the intersection with the Red, then right on the Red until it meets the Blue.  On the way we will look for and cut invasive twining vines and Multi-flora Rose (our 257th workshop).   Protectors will provide gloves, bags, tools & refreshments.  If there is interest, after the work session we will return by way of the Hyerdahl ruins.  Call Don Recklies at 718-768-9036 or Chuck Perry at 718-667-1393 for more information.   (Service credit is available.)
