Saturday, April 13 and April 20: Free and Fun, no advance registration required.
Join us for two free High Rock Challenge (HRC) training sessions with Greenbelt running ambassador, Andy Blancero. Andy has completed many High Rock Challenge races (as well as marathons throughout the country), and is very knowledgeable about the race and the Greenbelt.
You'll recieve lots of trail running advice as well as an overview of the High Rock Challenge, and the types of obstacles and “mystery challenges” you will encounter along the course. Andy will then lead a group run along the High Rock trail system, the same trails you will encoutner on race day. Remember, the actual HRC course is not revealed until race day.
Please arrive ten minutes before start; dress for the weather and terrain, and bring water. Drive slowly up Nevada Avenue, a residential street. The entrance to the park is at the end of the road.
Invite your running partner or any friends interesting in learning about the High Rock Challenge and running the trails.
High Rock Challenge Race Day is Saturday, April 27, 2019.
Please note: These training sessions begin in High Rock Park, which is different than where we will meet on race day.
