Looking for a life-changing volunteer opportunity that includes leadership development, education, and technical work skills while giving back to your community and the environment? There is a free Greenbelt Conservation Corps volunteer orientation training event scheduled at the Greenbelt Nature Center. All individuals interested in volunteering with the GCC and building experience in natural resource management are invited to attend! Space is limited to 20 registrants.

Who we are: The Greenbelt Conservation Corps is a coalition of organizations and community members dedicated to conservation, stewardship, and education, facilitated by the Greenbelt Conservancy and NYC Parks.

What we do:

Provide experiential work and place-based learning.

Foster diverse community engagement (through teamwork).

Create safe learning environments for all who participate.

Engage local municipalities, non-profits, and corporations in service-learning.

Strengthen the foundation of activism and stewardship that the legacy of the Greenbelt is built upon.

Ensure the safety, accessibility, and sustainability of our trails and natural areas.
