Caring for the Greenbelt's parks and open space
in Staten Island, NY through education,
conservation, research and prudent recreation

6:00 pm -

Wednesdays: This weekly evening group hike covers approximately five miles at a quick pace. All are welcome including children with hiking experience who can cover the distance.  Dogs on leashes (that are used to a group and are compatible with other dogs) are also welcome to participate.

Please dress for the weather and terrain, and bring water and a snack if you think you will need it. Be advised that there are some inclines, exposed tree roots, mud and uneven terrain along our course.

Parking is free at the Greenbelt Nature Center. The restrooms are not open after 5 pm.

This hike meets in all seasons. Beginning in October, headlamps or a flashlight is required.    No advance registration is required for this free event. Join us!   If the weather is deemed dangerous, the hike will be canceled, and posted first on our Facebook page.
