Annual Butterfly Count hosted by Protectors of Pine Oak Woods

8:00 am - 6:00 pm

Saturday, July 29: For more than two decades folks from Staten Island have gathered to survey and document the populations of  our local butterflies.  Each year data is consistently collected along a well-established route on the last Saturday in June. From Snug Harbor to the Conference House with the Greenbelt in between, butterflies are sought and identified with totals being shared with the North American Butterfly Association.  For more information or to join the count, contact Cliff Hagen of Protectors of Pine Oak Woods:  718-313-8591.
