Paper-making using invasive plant species - a collaboration with Fresh Kills Park

Wednesday, April 24:  Join us to learn how to create recycled paper from old newsprint, junk mail, and Phragmites, an invasive plant found at Freshkills Park.

Participants will press paper pulp made from the recycled paper and phragmites into paper sheets as they learn about the relationships between native plants and invasive plants. Once dried, the paper can be used for cards or letters! The workshop is open to all ages, but is recommended for children 6+.  Visit freshkillspark.org for more information.
