Forest Restoration Workshop (National Take A Hike Day) @ Deere Park

Saturday, November 17: Forest Restoration Workshop at Deere Park with our friends from the Protectors of Pine Oak Woods —For our 267th workshop we’ll meet in the parking lot at the dead-end of Staten Island Blvd. (south of Petrides School). We will ascend the trail toward the Butterworth Avenue entrance where we will finish uprooting Japanese Barberry and Multi-flora Rose, and check that Winter-creeper has not re-sprouted. Protectors will provide gloves, bags, tools and refreshments.
