About the Race and Course

Cold Feat will feature a 5K course only this year.

Start/finish is by the historic David LaTourette House, which, today operates as the LaTourette clubhouse for this beautiful golf course. The Cold Feat course begins on the rolling fairways and takes you off into the surrounding Greenbelt trails - rustic and hilly.  In trail running, you will encounter uneven terrain, exposed tree roots, and sometimes mud.  The course is marked but it's necessary to pay close attention to where you're running. This is a great trail race that attracts a friendly group of runners from Staten Island and the tri-state area - it's a effective remedy for cabin fever!

Runners will receive a branded headwrap/buff and chipped timing bib.  Due to COVID, there will be no award ceremony, but all race times will be posted online.

We run in all weather conditions and, based on past race experiences, have found it can be done!  This race will be professionally timed.

There will be no refunds offered for tickets purchased; please make sure you can make it before purchasing!

Not running? Come out and volunteer with us!  We have fun assignments indoors and out, both before and during race day. We can provide community service credit for students, and we welcome families.  Email: volunteer@sigreenbelt.org.

Your participation and race fee help to support the Greenbelt Conservancy and its mission to protect, promote and sustain Staten Island's 2,800-acre Greenbelt. The Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working in partnership with NYC Parks, also provides environmental education initiatives for children and adults of all ages and leads trail maintenance and beautification projects that help keep the Greenbelt's 35-mile trail system in great hiking and running condition. Thank you for your support!
