The forest in winter is a peaceful, quiet, welcoming place. A fresh snowfall can make it seem almost magical.

Remember, when the snow is deep enough, the Greenbelt is a great place to use your snowshoes or cross-country skis. And one of the best places for snow sledding on Staten Island is at the Greenbelt's LaTourette Park and Golf Course on Richmond Hill Road!
