Willowbrook Park, near the Carousel, Eton Place
Celebrate autumn under a golden tree canopy in Willowbrook Park. There will be free puppet shows by Puppets in Parks at 1 and 3 pm and a visit from the “Recyclarium,” a cool traveling program that offers exhibits and interactive games that explain the ins and outs of recycling, from disposing of the materials properly to processing what eventually emerges as the recycled product. Enjoy a visit and healthy cooking demonstration from our friends at GrowNYC Greenmarket throughout the day. Andy from the NYC Compost Project will be on hand with alive worm bin to teach about turning waste into great soil! Face painting and environmental education activities will be on hand.
